Norse Dual Stave Coin

This solid iron coin was struck with 80 tons of force between the hand-engraved steel Vegvisir and Helm of Awe dies. After that it was given a durable black oxide coating that won’t readily rust and can be regularly handled.

The Vegvsir is an Icelandic magical stave, which, according to the Huld manuscript, protects one from losing their way in bad weather. Nowaways helping guide us through modern moments of being lost at sea. Encircling the Vegvsir is the runic transliteration of the Icelandic phrase, “g stoppar ekki egar reyttur, g stoppar egar g er binn”, which translates to, “I do not stop when tired, I stop when done.”

The Helm of Awe is a Nordic magical stave which is meant to imbue its carrier with protection, and inspire victory in battle. Now you can think of it as helping in the day to day challenges of every day life.
